Public exhibition for Red Funnel’s relocation to Trafalgar Dock Monday 8th December

Royal Pier Waterfront, encompassing Mayflower Park, represents an unprecedented opportunity to create an exciting and world-class waterfront development for Southampton, including the extension and re-design of the park.

The regeneration of this part of Southampton includes the provision of new first class facilities for Red Funnel at Trafalgar Dock, with the relocation to be the first phase of proposals the wider area.

RPW (Southampton) Limited, Southampton City Council’s selected development partner, would like to invite you to an exhibition
between 2pm and 9pm
on Monday 8th December at
Westgate Hall (formerly known as Tudor Merchants Hall),
Westgate Street,
Southampton SO14 2AY

Here, plans for the new Red Funnel facilities will be outlined and there will be the opportunity to meet the design team, to input into the process and provide feedback on some of our ideas.

Southampton City Council and the Isle of Wight Council are working closely together, with other external partners, on a £14.95m project to improve connectivity and journey experience to and from the Isle of Wight, via Southampton, and create two outstanding 'destinations'. The creation of a better transport network will enable development opportunities on both sides of the water to come forward by freeing up vital land. This will encourage economic development, create new neighbourhoods and business districts, leisure facilities and retail hubs, create hundreds of new jobs and bolster the tourism industry as well as improving the customer experience.

Your views are important to us; we would love to see you there!
